Snow/Emergency Closings

Oak Hill follows Cooperstown School District for closings and cancellations. In the event of a one-hour delay there is no change to our schedule. A two hour delay means that we begin at 10am and end at 12:15 pm. When Cooperstown is closed, so is Oak Hill..

Layering Guide

Adequate and correct layering ensures that your child can play outside and be warm and dry no matter what the weather! With the right gear, we can stay outdoors for the full 3 hours or even longer if you dare!   • Pick up and drop off happens curbside down by the gate. Please arrive from the north, pull up to the gate and put your vehicle in park. A staff member will help your child out and grab their backpack. You then pull out and drive 1/3 mile ahead and turn left which will take you right back to route 166.

    Pick up happens in the same way.

    On a typical day pick up is at the gate, the same as drop off. If however the ORANGE TRAFFIC CONE is out, then pick up will be in one of 2 locations. If the cone is by the driveway, please pull in for a driveway pickup. Stay in your car, we will bring your child to you. If the cone is down by the barn, then pick up is down there. The procedure is the same in all locations. After we have put your child into the vehicle, you may pull ahead to a safe spot along the road, and exit your vehicle to buckle seatbelts etc. Please try to spread out.

    Please remember that we are sharing the road with our neighbors! ALWAYS check your mirrors before pulling out and tuck in to drop, pick up or buckle your child. You are welcome to pull into the driveway if you are not able to get you child unbuckled or fully dressed and ready. Park along the right hand side and then you can simply walk your child down to us when they are all ready.

    With cash. Please put cash in an envelope with your child’s name on it and what the payment is for!

    Tuition is due on the first of the month, or closest to it unless you have made other arrangements.

    Summer Camp, After School Club, Nursery School/Kindergarten Materials and registration fee payments are due at the time of registration.

  • Each family will provide snack one to two times a school year. When it is your turn, you will receive an email from our snack coordinator by the beginning of the weekend with a list of required items. The items should be dropped off on Monday morning the following week. Children eat family style around the table together or outdoors in a picnic ‘snack circle.’ Sometimes we prepare the food for our snack together. The snack rotation will be emailed to you soon after the beginning of the school year. If you are ever unable to make your snack week for any reason, we ask that you either make arrangements to switch with someone, or let us know as soon as possible. Thank you!
